Charlotte, NC - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Angie

What a great night! Styx came on first, response seemed a bit lukewarm at first but they had the crowd that was there in the end. Foreigner was next and I thought they put on a great show. It had gotten dark by then and more people had filtered in (it was terribly hot and humid yesterday). Was great to see Jason Bonham play again (loved his drum kit and he was the reason I was looking forward to Foreigner's set).

Then the Lepps were on...what a rockin' performance!! The lights came on right as the intro to For Those About To Rock hit the "Fire" point for the cannons...and there was Joe on the runway and they kicked off with Rocket...kick ass! I loved the stuff they had on the screen for Animal. Quite a bit of the crowd really got into Mirror Mirror (LOVED that they played this). We got Let It Go at this show as dlfan said in the setlist posting. I was kind of hoping for Another Hit and Run, but Let It Go is such a fun high energy song. Joe dedicated Two Steps to the crowd from Raleigh the night before who didn't get a show (love them for rescheduling). He also mentioned that this was the hottest show they had played and made a comment that he had a feeling clothes would be removed before the end of the show and not just on stage.

I have to say my fave of the night was Heartbreak/Switch. It was just fantastic! Lots of crowd response and several of us in my row just went nuts when they went into Switch. Viv and Phil do such an awesome job on the dual playing. Most of the night we had watched lightning all around behind and to the side of the stage and it finally started to rain towards the end of Leppard's set. My cousin and a few of my co-workers were on the lawn and she said they got drenched, but it felt wonderful and I didn't really see anyone leave, everyone was to into the show. All in all it was a hot, humid, energetic and totally fun night. The Lepps always deliver!
