Winnipeg, MB - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Chris W

Def Leppard returned to Winnipeg for the first time since their stop on the SLANG tour to an audience of approximately 5,000.

The crowd was extremely tame, but loud. Whether it be because Poison/ Vince Neil played 24hrs earlier, and alot of the crowd attended that show as well or the fact that it was by and large an "older" crowd. The fact remains that the audience on the floor stood still the most of the show (especially during the best part of the set...the A side of High N Dry). The side seats stood near the end of the show, but the majority of the people sat through out the show. The biggest and largest reactions came during Pour Some Sugar on Me, Photograph and Let's Get Rocked.

The sound was horrible (as it usually is in the Winnipeg Arena) during the first couple of songs, and got better slightly as the show went on. Despite the fact that Joe announced that Canada was the first country to chart Long Long Way To Go, a large part of the audience took a beer and washroom break while they performed it (as you would typically see an audience do during a drum or guitar solo)

Phil's ear piece gave out during Armageddon It, and he played to the end of the regular set without it. At the same time, Sav appeared to be having problems with his head set. Which appeared to be resolved before the second verse. Joe kept taking sips of beer from a fan in the front row, and Vivian was....well Vivian! Overall the show was really good and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
