Toronto, ON - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Whiskers

The concert ROCKED! The boys were amazing! The set was awesome! Phil and Vivian had their shirts off from a good part of the show. I've been to alot of concerts, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Aerosmith and U2 3 times, but this concert was the best!

The guys really seemed to enjoy the show. The crowd were great, loud, loud, loud. Joe was really happy with that. He said that the Toronto concert was the best by far, so far. And that Toronto would be on the Def Leppard website in about 4 days or so. That should be interesting to see.

They played songs right across the board for the last 20 years. I think everyone was happy about that! 'Rock of Ages', got the crowd going, and so did 'Pour Some Sugar on Me'!

I got a Union Jack shirt, which cost $50 Canadian, but it was worth it. The encore was great, I wish they had done a double encore, but hey. It lasted about 2 hrs and was well worth the money! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO RETURN DEF LEPPARD YOU ROCK!!

I forget to mention that Joe wore a Toronto Maple Leaf jersey during the encore! The crowd loved that! It was one of the best, and worth all the heat and humidity we had to put up with!.

Energy! That's the operative word here! This was my first Def Leppard concert, and being my favourite band for 13 years, I had high expectations. I was not let down. The atmosphere was intense, the fans were ENERGETIC to the max, the band was kickin'...ENERGY!!

They played classic favourites such as 'Women', 'Bringin' On The Heartbreak', 'Photograph' and mega-anthem 'Pour Some Sugar On Me!!' More recent hits like 'Now' and 'Four Letter Word' got the fans cheering and singing all together in a strange sense of unity I had never witnessed.

Despite resident newspapers bashing the event slightly, I on the other hand felt Leppard pulled off an awe-inspiring display of great rock. Personally, I had the greatest time of my life singing, clapping, and screaming my lungs out. I doubt any other band out there could top this concert for me, but then again I'm biased. Way to go guys...please come back to Toronto soon!!!.

OK These guys have been on tour since. well. Moses was a paper boy. So, if you miss(ed) them this time..well, too bad and shame on you.

Fantastic show!!!. And they just keep gettin' better. I saw them this spring in April in Erie PA. (drove three hours through a snow storm). and thought it was the best. Well, maybe it was just the energy of 16,000+ fans who of course, did not sit through the entire show. (a little over two hours).

The Leps rocked the joint big time. I have seen a lot of big name bands but NONE can touch Def Leppard. How the hell do they do it?. How can they keep it up?. Thank you guys for still being there for us. You said you would be back. So will I.

I decided at the last minute to fly to Toronto for the August 12th show. Best decision I ever made! This crowd was fantastic! They were all on their feet before they even hit the stage! The crowd was excited and very ready to have lots of fun. Joe commented (as well as Sav) on how loud and enthusiastic the crowd was all night. Way to go Canada! When they did 'Two Steps Behind', the crowd sang so loud it seemed like Joe wasn't even needed for this number. Same goes for 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'! When Joe stopped singing, everyone one belted out "From my head to my feet yeah!". It really blew them away.

All the Leps seemed to have a good time that night and when I talked to Vivian after the show he mentioned how much fun it is when a crowd is really into cheering and chanting like the Toronto crowd. He said it makes it all worthwhile being away from family for long periods of time. At the end of the show, Joe came out with a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey that I gave him when I met him in Rapid City SD. As you can imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw him with it on!! And disappointment when I saw him throw it into the crowd at the end of the show!! AACCKK!! Other than that, they played really well and there were no mishaps so a great show was had by all!!.
