Greenville, SC - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By PhoenX

My first road trip. Just by chance last Friday I found 2 floor/Row M tickets on Ticketmaster. So on Monday after work I drove 2 hours to Greenville. Sorry to say that traffic was terrible and we missed all but the last 5 minutes of the opening act.

On to the show: It was great. No, actually, it was GREAT!! Every song sounded great, especially Slang, Switch 625 and Four Letter Word. But then, of course all the older, familiar songs were perfect. Joe and the guys were having the greatest time and it showed.

What a great way to celebrate Steve's birthday this week, listening to all his songs live.

One change to the setlist provided by the local reporter. Def Leppard played "Stagefright" instead of "Rock Rock Till You Drop". Great show. We drove over from Atlanta with my wife, 13 and 9 year old. What a birthday gift for my 9 year old. She danced and sang the entire concert.

Def Leppard played the Bi-Lo center and proved to be an OK concert. This was nothing like past concerts but still a good show. The one problem that the Bi-Lo Center and Def Leppard couldn't seem to get right was the sound level. Every song was "drowned" out by bass and guitar and everything seemed to "meld" together in a mess of noise. Not one of the best concerts. They "missed the boat" on this stop.

4/21/03 What an awesome show! I knew it was going to be great night as soon as I heard the first chords of "Ring of Fire"! Then they played "Action", and "Stagefright"! As if that weren't enough, "Slang" was played a little later!! It was one of the best shows in the Carolinas simply because of the setlist. Joe even sang a snippet of "Whole Lotta Love" during "Rocket". They worked their magic for over 2 hours, playing, flirting and giving it their all. They looked and sounded great. By the end of the night I had lost my voice; it was DEFinitely a night I will never forget. Thank you Joe, Phil, Sav, Vivian and Rick for the best week of my life!! Y'all put the glide back into my stride!.
