Boston, MA - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Cherie AP

Another great New England show. Maybe the best one. At least in my opinion.

I was just listening to a local radio station and 'Access Hollywood' had an all access pass to film the show and backstage going on and it will be aired in the first week in September (sorry no more information). So maybe that helped us to have an amazing show.

It started with Ricky Warwick (of course) and the crowd really enjoyed him. He did the same set that he has been and I can't wait for the CD to be released in September. You can buy it at the show, but I didn't want to lose it.

When Def Leppard came out the crowd went nuts. The set list was pretty much the same except they did "Rock Rock till You Drop". They have that amazing energy that just blows you away. They give it their all and we appreciated it. Towards the end of the show Phil's wife was standing on the side of the stage and he would look over to her and sing and she'd sing back. It was quite adorable. Other than that I am exhausted and can't think of anything else that is different from the other shows. I hope that Joe meant it when he said that they'd be back. We'll be waiting!.

I knew tonight's show was going to be a smash from the get-go. When the intro came up the crowd started to go wild. Then the band exploded onto the stage with the energy and presence that mimicked the larger tours of their earlier days.

The Fleet Pavilion was packed to capacity with fans of all ages. Tonight's show was unbelievable! From begining to end the band kept all the fans on their feet with hands in the air. During the extended portion of Rocket Joe did a rendition of Whole Lotta Love and really got the crowd going. Magically it seemed that everyone in the pavilion knew all the words to every song and I think even the band members themselves were in awe over the energy flowing through the venue.

They stuck true to the set list they have been playing on this leg of the tour tonight. As usual one of the best hitting songs was Pour Some Sugar On Me along with Let's Get Rocked and Photograph. I have seen Def Leppard three times on this tour, once in Madison WI on the first leg and before tonight I was at the Providence RI show and I have to say that tonight's show was by far the most energetic of any show I have been to on the X tour.

"We Will Rock You" starts playing getting us Pumped up for the boys Everyone singing along place is getting packed Now mind you I though I was gonna be disappointed at the crowd scene No Way place was filled cept for a few seats in front of me..The Boys Hit the stage here is the setlist (see main page).

Everyone was singing along to every song except for 2 and I was disappointed at that. LLWTG & Now people sat down I thought it was rude of them to do I wanted to tell them all to get the Hell up. Anyways Joe couldn't believe How packed the place was and he said we were that is "BOSTON" was By far the Loudest Crowd on the Tour..And we were you couldn't hear yourself think I got a headache just from screaming LOL it was worth it though See the boys VIv Lost his shirt on the 5 or 6 song and Phil lost it on the second song. Joe Looked great from where I could see there was some tall due infront of me so really couldn't see a thing but I sang and danced all night Long I Was Rocking Til I was Dropping..LOL I had a Rocking Gooed time.

Joe said You don't forget about us and we won't forget about you..I never will :) I didn't get home til after 1 am and was still wired from the concert , lost my voice today and didn't want to work either I am In lep heaven LOL I didn't want the night! to end. I took pics and turned them in we will see how they came out..and may need some1 to give me their home address to scan them for me.. I had a hell of a night got my concert shirt and wearing it as we speak well that's it I Need another lep fix NOW!.

This was not my first show, and will not be my last. I had not been to the Pavillion before, but it was a great place for the concert... no matter where you sit you have a good view of the stage and two screens on each side of it.

Ricky Warwick had the attention of some of the crowd which was nice to see. I had not heard him before but was glad I did. The crowd really started coming in after Ricky's set was over.

The guys came out to a screaming welcoming crowd, that you must have been able to hear all the way down the street! I think this was one of my favorite times seeing them yet. They went from one song into the next keeping you rocked and wired! The extended verson of Rocket was unbelievable... and hearing LLWTG and Now live was just amazing. I was just a little disappointed in the crowd around me... they sat down during LLWTG and a few other times and just didn't participate. I was sad to see that, Slang was great.. I love hearing that live...but unfortunately so far every time they play it, there isn't too many in the audience that seem to know it.

Getting to see and hear the acoustic version of Two Steps Behind I will not forget, and got the crowd involved singing the song. I can't say enough how much they rocked that night, and as always had to come to an end, but the crowd immediately went wild to get them back out there.

They came out to play Love Bites .. and then when Joe said he had one question for everyone the place exploded for them to play Let's Get Rocked! I went home with my new shirt, still hearing the guys in my head and no voice!: ) and I can't wait to see them again.
