Denver, CO - Fan Reviews

Fan Review - By Sioux Craft

After all my years as a Lep fan, this was one of the most amazing and memorable shows I've ever seen!

With a close to capacity crowd, Ricky Warwick started the night off with a fabulous 30 minute set. It takes a lot of nerve to get up in front of thousands of people with just an acoustic guitar and a microphone, and he pulled it off with great skill! I know I will be looking for Tattoos and Alibis when it hits the shops in March!

When the band hit the stage after Disintegrate, the place exploded! Let It Go was the first song, and it felt like a link to the past. For the next 24 songs, we were transported! The crowd fed off the band, and the band fed off the crowd & the energy was unbelievable! The boys in the band seemed to lose 20 years as they played, clearly in their element. Joe, as always, was the Master Showman, controlling the crowd with a look and a hand movement. He brought out the best in all of us. Vivian and Sav were playing off each other, laughing and acting like kids, and Phil kept up quite nicely, instigating as he went as well.

For a longtime fan, who came to the group with OTTN, hearing Wasted in concert with one of the biggest rushes I've ever had. The 'Early Days' set was a great thing to be part of, and I hope they continue in future with that.

As always, Leppard Rocks! They just keep getting better with age, like fine wine.

I bought the Lep's "Pyromania" as a young New Zealander in 1984 and was instantly hooked. Watching the band go through its highs anfd lows through the decades has been incredible. Watching them live, finally in 2002, was amazing! The Denver show was practically sold out and the audience were total Def Leppard fans.

The boyz didn't disappoint, playing plenty of classics, and rocking the place in fine style. The lighting was impressive and the sound just awesome. Joe Elliott's voice was amazingly clear and full, if it wasn't for the booming bass you would think they were on CD.

The one downside was a couple of too long, unnecessary lead breaks which distracted from the songs they appeared in. Otherwise a flawless performance of rock the way it should be, loud and in yer face. If the Leps come back to the Rockies in Summer 2003 as hinted at by Joe, I will be in line!.

Greetings everyone, Since this was the 8th time I saw the mighty leppard in concert, this had to be the best set list I have ever heard. These guys get better every time I see them. I would have to say "You're so Beautiful" and "Rocket" stood out for me. Fans disappeared to the loo for the new songs, but overall they sounded very good. Killer shirts and killer sound. I travelled down from Wyoming to see the show, I hope Colorado gets their shit together about getting road construction done in the summer instead of in the dead of winter. Def Leppard, don't forget about Casper, WY when you swing back through again this way!.
