It was opened in November 1966 as Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum Arena and renovated in 1996/1997.
From 1997 to 2005 it was known as The Arena At Oakland.
From 2006 to 2019 it was known as Oracle Arena.
Since 2019 it has been called Oakland Arena.
A recently discovered second night played at this venue which was added to the schedule after the first night sold out.
