It was opened in November 1968.
This show was rescheduled to this day from the 22nd after a truck driver drove off with some of the band's equipment.The equipment was later recovered but the show started late and caused the next show in Tucson, AZ scheduled for the 23rd September to be cancelled and then rescheduled for December.

"During the 'Seven Day Weekend' world tour a complete Def Leppard tour truck with over 6 tonnes of equipment (valued at over $750,000) went missing."
"This resulted in a show in Las Cruces, New Mexico being cancelled."
