Def Leppard @ Winnipeg Arena By Winnipeg Free Press
To the devil with sympathy, Def Leppard succeeded last night on its own merits.
With a show that was nothing less than quintessential by the demanding standards of hard rock presentation.
The lights, the staging and almost incidentally the music were on top form.
Not surprisingly, not even Def Leppard's much-vaunted sound system on the circular, central stage could overcome Winnipeg Arena's acoustics.
However, the small but excited crowd of 6,000 hardly seemed to mind.
