It was opened in the earls 1950a.

It has hosted concerts since the early 1960s which took place within the Speedway track.

Weedsport is 25.8 miles to the West of Syracuse.

The track was sold in 2014 and concerts no longer take place at the venue.

On the same day as this show the 'Hysteria' album reached the Number One spot in the Billboard charts 49 weeks after it had been released.

On the same day the 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' single peaked at Number Two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This show suffered a torrential downpour halfway through the concert as many other did on this tour leg.

A brief clip of 'Hysteria' from the venue's own video screen footage was posted online a few years ago and is taken from the full show footage that has yet to be shared among fans.
