  • Location / Tokyo, Japan
  • Venue / Yoyogi National Gymnasium / Yoyogi Olympic Pool

The first show by the band in this city since January 1984 on the Pyromania tour.

The first time at this venue.

The opening night of the Japanese Hysteria tour.

As with the European tour these shows were played at one end.

The venue is located in the Shibuya area of the city centre and part of the Yoyogi Park complex of venues which also includes a second gymnasium and the NHK Hall.

It was opened in October 1964 for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games and has a distinctive suspension roof design.

The venue was used for water sports during the games and went to to be used for other sports like basketball and gymnastics as well as being a concert venue.

The venue name in Japanese is Yoyogi Daiichi Taiikukan.

'Animal 'was moved back to its usual place earlier in the set. 'Tear It Down' was added as an extra encore song.

A decent audience recording exists from this show.
