Green Bay, WI - Media Reviews

Def Leppard @ Brown County Arena By Green Bay Press Gazette

Despite the volume, Def Leppard put out a surprisingly clean, balanced sound.

The band has been together since 1978 and plays like it.

The group's most spectacular instrument may be the voice of Joe Elliott.

With his range and power, he fought his instrumentalists for dominance, and usually managed at least a stand-off.

Every song on the album was greeted with deafening cheers, but the roars were loudest for the slow paced rocker Pour Some Sugar On Me.

The light show was excellent, flooding the stage and barraging it with laser-like strokes synchronised to the music.

The light shows of 15 years ago seem primitive by comparison.

When the band finished its set, the crowd roared for me.
