  • Location / San Diego, CA, USA
  • Venue / San Diego Sports Arena

The first show by the band in this city since November 1981 on the High 'N' Dry tour.

Another show supporting Billy Squier on his 'Emotions In Motion' tour.

The first time at this venue and first of two shows in this city on the 1983 tour.

The venue is located to the North east of the city centre and is close to Sea World.

It was opened in November 1966.

The venue was originally named as San Diego International Sports Center from then until 1970.

It was then named as San Diego Sports Arena from 1970 to 2005 and again from 2007 to 2010.

Other names included iPayOne Center 2005 to 2007, Valley View Casino Center 2010 to 2018 and then Pechanga Arena.

This show was originally scheduled to take place on 6th March when Billy Squier was still on the first leg of his first headline tour.

The show, with the Canadian rock band Saga as the opening act, was postponed on the day because of a lighting rig problem.

The band revealed in their fan club diaries that sound engineer Steve Cox had suffered from appendicitis since the second night in Irvine and therefore tour manager Robert Allen (brother of Rick Allen and now Taylor Swift's manager) did the sound mix at this show.
