The opening night of the North American 'High 'n' Dry' tour supporting Ozzy Osbourne and his Blizzard Of Ozz band.
The venue was located in the city centre.
It was opened in 1972.
The venue was closed in September 2002 and then demolished in January 2007.
The area where the venue once stood is now the 'Coliseum lot' parking lot.
Ozzy's band featured Ozzy on lead vocals, Tommy Aldridge on drums, the late Randy Rhoads on guitar and Rudi Sarzo on bass.
Rudi and Tommy would later play with future Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell in the touring lineup of Whitesnake during 1987/1988.
Ozzy guitarist Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash on March 19 1982 in Leesburg, Florida.
The light plane crashed into a house where the band were staying killing the pilot, band hairdresser and Randy (who was 25).
Ozzy had decided against going on the short flight himself.
Ozzy and his band had played on 1st August in the UK at Port Vale Stadium for a festival called Heavy Metal Holocaust.
They flew in on Concorde to the USA to make it to this show in time.
This tour leg was to be the last of their tour which had started on 12th September 1982 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Girl, featuring future Leppard Phil Collen, played a few dates with them in the UK and were initially considered as support for this tour.
The setlist is believed to be the same as the one played a few shows later in South Fallsburg, NY.
Four new songs were played from 'High 'n' Dry' with 'Lady Strange' having already been played during the 1980 tour.
