It was opened in December 1953 as UM Fieldhouse.

From 1966 to 1999 it was known as Adams Fieldhouse (listed on posters and tickets) and the full official name of Harry Adams Fielhouse.

Since 1999 it has been called Dahlberg Arena.

The venue was renovated in 1999.
