The venue was located on the town's main Pier which is right on the seafront.

It was opened in August 1872 and destroyed by fire in 1917 but rebuilt in 1922.

The pier was closed in 2008 and suffered a fire in 2010 but reopened in April 2016 and still hosts concert events.

The original pavilion hosted rock concerts from around 1963 until at least the mid 90s.

The opener for this show is not known or there was no third band.

Like the previous show this one was also billed as a 'Heavy Metal Concert'.
