  • Location / Aylesbury, England
  • Venue / Friars (Maxwell Hall)

The first show by the band in this town in the county of Buckinghamshire.

The first time at this venue.

Another show on the six week UK club tour with Witchfynde and local acts in support.

Pete Willis celebrated his 20th birthday at this show.

The venue is located in the Market Square area of Aylesbury and was also known as Vale and Maxwell Hall.

This version of the venue ran from September 1975 until December 1984.

This venue was closed in 1984 and was then reopened from June 2009 to June 2010 before closing for good.

A statue of David Bowie is located here to recognise the fact that he played his first show as Ziggy Stardust here in 1972.

That show took place on 29th January 1972 at the Borough Assembly Hall version of the venue which is 2 minutes walk from the venue Def Leppard played (next to the Halifax building society).
